Recycle Mania Competition

The Recycle Mania Competition is underway here at SUU and so far the campus is doing great!

Pre-season weeks Jan. 20 - 26: 3,303 pounds
Pre-season week Jan. 27 - Feb 2: 3,350 pounds
Official first week Feb. 3rd - 9th: 3,510 pounds

This is an increase of about 1,000 pounds per week.  Keep up the great work SUU!

Pacesetter Meeting Tonight

We are meeting this evening at 6:00pm in SUU Outdoors.  We will cover methods and important elements of trip planning.

We will be discussing trip planning as well as SUU trips.
Be there or be octagonal. (It's like twice as square)

GO OUTSIDE Challenge

The Go Outside Challenge is your chance (and a good excuse) to explore the outdoors, learn about natural areas, be healthy, make friends and be rewarded for you efforts.  

We’ve got incentives to get you to participate in SUU outdoor events, trips, and seminars (ex: Pacesetters Club, Geology Club, Outdoor Educational Series, Kayak Club, class field trips, etc...).  You can earn stamps for all of these activities that will earn you free tube of lip balm (which everybody loves) or a Pacesetters T-shirt.

Just grab a “Go Outside” flyer from the Outdoor Engagement Center (OEC) or SUU Outdoors get it stamped (in OEC) for participating and embark on a journey to make yourself a more awesome individual.

Pacesetter Meeting Tonight

Don't forget to stop by SUU Outdoors tonight (January 24th) at 6:00 to tell us where you want to go and what sort of training you would be interested in this semester.  Bring a thumbdrive with pictures of your recent adventures to share.  There will be free food too.

Pacesetter Kick-Off Meeting

Thursday, January 24th will be our first Pacesetter meeting of the semester.  We will be meeting in SUU Outdoors at 6:00.  There will be food and we will be discussing the upcoming trips for this semester.  We will also be showing off your photos from past adventures, so put together some pictures of trips you are most proud of on a thumb drive and bring them to the meeting.
